BlueFirst is available to book now, for travel on select routes starting 12/8. BlueFirst will expand to more flights and routes in the coming months.
No. BlueFirst was designed to be a premium experience on routes that don’t offer Mint.
Mint is JetBlue's business class experience featuring lie-flat seats & suites. BlueFirst is JetBlue's domestic first-class experience, featuring wide recliner seats in a two-by-two configuration.
BlueFirst features wide recliner seats in the first few rows of the plane, arranged in a two-by-two configuration. The seats were designed for extra comfort, with Tuft & Needle’s T&N Flex™ foam, up to 7 inches of additional legroom and up to 5 inches of recline compared with JetBlue’s Main seats.
On flights of 899+ miles, we offer a complimentary bento-inspired FirstFare box, which includes an entree, side and dessert (with a vegetarian option). In addition, BlueFirst includes premium snack & drink service. FirstFare offerings may vary with route.
BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex include two free checked bags. BlueFirst Base includes one free checked bag. Each free checked bag can weigh up to 70lbs./32Kgs.
Mosaic members continue to receive their Mosaic perks when traveling on BlueFirst fares. However, some perks vary by fare type:
- Same-Day Switch benefits apply to BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex fares but do not apply to BlueFirst Base fares, which are subject to applicable fees.
- Complimentary space-available upgrades to BlueFirst are available to eligible Mosaic members when a BlueFirst seat is available starting 60 minutes prior to departure (pending availability). Travelers on Main Base and EvenMore Base fares are not eligible for space-available upgrades.
- BlueHouseᵀᴹ access is available to eligible Mosaic 4 members and JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, including applicable guest access, when traveling on BlueFirst Base, BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex fares.
Mosaic 4 and JetBlue Premier Cardmembers traveling in BlueFirst (including BlueFirst Base) get complimentary BlueHouse access. In addition, Mosaic 1-3 and JetBlue Plus/Business Cardmembers traveling in BlueFirst may purchase a one-time pass.
There is also the requirement that for a JetBlue Premier Card cardmember (without Mosaic status) to be eligible, they will need to use their card to purchase their travels.

Yes, BlueFirst fares are available for purchase using TrueBlue points.
No, BlueFirst customers are allowed the same number of carry-on items as Main customers. FAA/TSA regulations allow each customer to take one carry-on and one personal item onboard the aircraft.
There are no fees for changes or cancellations with a BlueFirst or BlueFirst Flex fare. For changes, you can rebook to any flight through the end of our current schedule. Fare difference may apply. BlueFirst Base fares can be changed or cancelled for a fee. See change/cancellation fee details.
For voluntary cancellations, funds will be issued as a JetBlue travel credit. JetBlue Vacations bookings will be issued as JetBlue Vacations credit. Travel credits can be used for future travel to any JetBlue destination and for any traveler.

Yes. There are no age restrictions for BlueFirst.
Yes. Any BlueFirst customer may travel with one lap infant under the age of 2.
Only one lap infant is allowed per row. So you cannot have two parents in seats A and C traveling with twins as lap infants. Two parents may sit in opposite sides of the aisle (e.g. seats C and D) each with a lap infant.
No, unaccompanied minors (UNMRs) are not permitted in BlueFirst.
Yes, in rows 2 and 3 only. Small dogs and cats may travel in BlueFirst, and must travel in an FAA-approved pet carrier that fits comfortably under the seat in front of you.
No, everyone on a reservation should be booked on the same experience. You will need to book two separate reservations if one of you flies BlueFirst and the other books a Main seat.

Starting dates reflect the earliest currently scheduled flights with BlueFirst-equipped aircraft on each route. BlueFirst may be available only on select flights or dates, including on an intermittent basis. Flight schedules and aircraft assignments are subject to change, and BlueFirst-equipped aircraft may operate on other routes as operational needs require.

Carry-on bags may not exceed 22" L (55.88 cm) x 14" W (35.56 cm) x 9" H (22.86 cm).

Personal items (like a purse, daypack or laptop bag) must fit under the seat in front of you and may not exceed 17" L (43.2 cm) x 13" W (33 cm) x 8" H (20.32 cm). Travelers who have added a pet to their fare for travel may bring a carry-on bag. Your approved pet carrier counts as your personal item.
