Carry-On Bags

JetBlue lets you bring one carry-on and one personal item on all fares, with no weight limit as long as you can lift it.

General Info

All fares

Each customer is allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item (purse, small backpack, briefcase, laptop, etc.). Carry-on bags may be stowed in the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you, while personal items must be placed beneath the seat in front of you. Closets for hanging garment bags are not available on our planes.

Carry-on bags are the sole responsibility of the customer and JetBlue will assume no liability for property carried on board.

Size and weight restrictions

Size restrictions

Overhead bin:
Including wheels and handles, carry-on bags must not exceed 22" L (55.88 cm) x 14" W (35.56 cm) x 9" H (22.86 cm).

Personal items must not exceed 17" L (43.2 cm) x 13" W (33 cm) x 8" H (20.32 cm).

Weight restrictions

Carry-on regulations

In addition to one carry-on bag and one personal item, FAA/TSA regulations allow the following items, which do not count towards the carry-on limit:

  • Assistive devices
  • Duty-free items in a reasonable and limited amount
  • One diaper bag for lap infants
  • Special items (coat, umbrella, infant car seat, etc.)

You may find more information about prohibited items by visiting TSA’s website. Keep in mind that TSA regulations and enforcement may change without notice.
