Check-in issues
- If you are unable to check in through the JetBlue app, try to check in through a web browser.
- If you are still unable to check in online, you can check in at a kiosk or ticket counter at your airport.
- Contact us 24 hours a day for assistance with your tickets/rebooking/name corrections.
General check-in cutoff times (subject to change):
- Bag check cutoff times
- Domestic: 45-60 minutes prior to departure
- For flights from the U.S. Virgin Islands, all bags must be checked at the airport 60 minutes prior to departure.
- For all other airports, all bags must be checked at the airport 45 minutes prior to departure.
- International: 60 minutes prior to departure
- At least 80 minutes prior to departure from Dublin.
- Domestic: 45-60 minutes prior to departure
- Kiosk check-In cutoff times
- Domestic:
- You must be checked in at least 60 minutes prior to departure from the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- You must be checked in at least 45 minutes prior to departure at the following airports:
- ATL
- BDL
- BOS
- DCA
- DEN
- EWR
- FLL
- JFK
- LAS
- LAX
- LGA
- MCO
- SEA
- SFO
- SJU
- TPA
- You must be checked in at least 30 minutes prior to departure at all other airports.
- International: 60 minutes prior to departure
- At least 80 minutes prior to departure from Dublin.
- Domestic:
- Check the hours of operation for the ticket counter/baggage service office on our Airport Information page. Select your current city for more information.
- If available, use kiosks to check in and get your boarding pass.
- Manage your trips to rebook flights or make changes to your reservation.
- Make sure that all documents match the reservation in Manage Trips/Update Travelers Details.
- You can also check in at the airport ticket counter with a Crewmember.
When booking your flight:
- Be sure to add a Special Service Request (SSR).
- If you need help booking or adding a Special Service Request please contact us or call us at 711 (TTY). There’s never a fee to add an SSR to an existing booking.
- Choose your own seat ahead of time. Do it when you book online at jetblue.com or with our free app.
- Once you get to the shopping cart, you will click: Next - Traveler Details.
- At the bottom of the Traveler Details section, under the Additional Information section, you will click the plus (+) sign that says: I require wheelchair assistance.
- Indicate what type of assistance you require by checking one of the available options.
- You can then continue onto the next steps of your booking. Your wheelchair request will be saved.
After your flight is booked:
To add a wheelchair to your booking:
- Enter your details on the Manage Trips page, hit enter, then on the next Manage Your Trip page, click on the Traveler Details link at the top of the page:
- Then scroll down and click on the plus (+) sign that says 'Add special service requests'.
- Then select the ‘I require wheelchair assistance’ option and indicate what type of assistance you require by checking one of the available choices.
- Click “Continue” to save accessibility selections.
If you are at the airport, please let our airport crewmembers know how they can assist you.
In order to make a change after checking in, you’ll need to “uncheck in.” Yes – that is a thing. Unchecking unlocks your reservation so you can change your flight plans yourself.|
To uncheck:
- Go to the jetblue.com homepage and select Check in
- Add your name and confirmation code or ticket number
- Select Find Flights and Continue
- Select Travelers to be Unchecked and then Cancel Check-in
- Follow prompt to complete the process
You should see a notification that says you are unchecked. Proceed to the Manage Trips tool to rebook or make changes yourself.
Note: If you are unable to uncheck yourself, please reach out for assistance. If you are already at the airport, go to the airport ticket counter for assistance.
You will not be able to uncheck yourself within 30 minutes of your scheduled departure time.How do I add a TrueBlue number to a reservation?
Option 1:
- Visit Manage Trips.
- Scroll to Travelers.
- Click on Add TrueBlue or frequent flyer number to add the TrueBlue number.
Option 2:
- Visit Manage Trips.
- Select More Actions in the top menu.
- Select Traveler Details in the drop-down menu.
- Scroll to Additional Information.
- Click the plus sign next to Add a frequent flyer number.
- Scroll and select Continue to save the info.
Late for my flight
- We suggest that you speak with an Airport Crewmember regarding rebooking your flight. Please note: You are not entitled to denied boarding compensation.
- Go to the Just Ask desk for rebooking, if you are inside security.
- Manage your trip to rebook your flight or make changes to your reservation.
- Check in with an airport crewmember to have your documents manually verified at the ticket counter.
- Check your flight time. It may be too late to check in online or to check bags. Check in at the airport kiosk or ticket counter.
- Small date of birth corrections must be handled directly by a Crewmember via chat or phone.
- Full changes of birthdate are not permitted. In this case, you will need to cancel your reservation and rebook.
Documents
- Please visit a crewmember at the ticket counter to review your reservation. This process is required to be done at the airport and cannot be done via phone or chat.
