Refundable Fares
Refundable fares are ideal for customers who need flexibility when they travel. Our refundable fares come with unlimited changes and the ability to cancel up until the time of departure for a full refund to the original form of payment.
There’s also no need to worry if you are unable to make a change or cancellation before your flight. If you miss your flight, we will turn your reservation into a JetBlue travel credit. Learn more about JetBlue travel credit expiration dates.
Refundable fare rule
- Reservations with refundable fares may be changed or cancelled for a refund to the original form of payment up until the time of departure. Itinerary changes are subject to availability and increase in airfare.
- After departure, any unused funds will be converted to a JetBlue travel credit which is valid for airfare and taxes on any flight booked through jetblue.com. Sign in to your JetBlue travel credit account and view the statement page to see each credit's expiration date.
- Name corrections are permitted.
- All fares are subject to change until purchased.
- Refundable fares may not be available on all flights in all markets.
- Refundable fares are not available in JetBlue Vacations packages.

The type of fare booked in a reservation can be found on the “Manage Your Trip” page. Look under the ‘Your Flights’ section, to the right of your flight details.
It can take 7-10 business days to refund a refundable fare back to the original form of payment. If you have questions or concerns regarding the time it takes, we recommend contacting your financial institution.
You must change or cancel your flight prior to departure in order to receive a refund to the original form of payment. If you miss your flight, the value of your reservation will be placed into your JetBlue travel credit account as travel credit good for airfare and taxes on any flight booked through jetblue.com. Travel credit expiration dates can be viewed on your travel credit statement.
If a portion of the itinerary has been flown, the refund will be given in the amount equal to the unused portion of the trip.No, there is not a way to upgrade a non-refundable ticket to a refundable ticket.
If you choose, you can cancel your non-refundable reservation and rebook with a refundable fare at the current fare price, subject to availability.
