Payment Options
Credit and debit cards
We accept credit and debit cards with:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Discover Card
- American Express
- Japan Credit Bureau (JCB)
- Diners Club
- Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP)
Prepaid credit cards or gift cards may be used to pay for JetBlue flights. When booking online, the prepaid credit card balance needs to cover the full amount of your purchase.
If you saved a credit card during the booking process:
- You can modify or delete your saved credit card in the payment section of your profile.
- Please note: you can only save a new card during the booking process.
- Sign in to your TrueBlue profile
- Once signed in, open the TrueBlue dropdown and click Profile and Settings.
- In your profile, navigate to the Payments section.
- In the Payments section, click Delete to remove the saved credit card.
Please note: you can only save a new card during the booking process, so a saved credit card will only appear if you have previously saved one.
TrueBlue points
TrueBlue points never expire and have no blackout dates. Points can be used to book JetBlue flights, Vacation packages, and flights with select airline partners.
The number of points required for an award flight will vary based on the destination, day and season of travel, and how far in advance you’re booking your flight.
To redeem TrueBlue points, start a flight search on jetblue.com or through the JetBlue mobile app, then select use TrueBlue points, then search. The results will display the number of points needed for a 100% points redemption. Taxes and fees apply to award flights.
You also have the option to pay for JetBlue flights with a combination of cash and points. Once you’ve selected a specific date, flight, and fare type, you can customize your payment, starting with as little as 500 TrueBlue points.
Visit our TrueBlue FAQs to learn more about award flights and Cash + Points.
JetBlue Travel Credit
A JetBlue travel credit held in your JetBlue travel credit account can be used to book flights online at jetblue.com or by contacting us. Keep in mind, there is a $25 nonrefundable per-person fee when you change, cancel, or book a new reservation over the phone or through chat.
Checks, money orders and cash
Personal checks, business checks, cashier’s checks, third-party checks, and money orders are not accepted.
Traveler’s checks should be signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember. If your check is not signed in front of a JetBlue airport crewmember, a driver’s license or passport will be required for signature verification.
Cash is not accepted for reservations, inflight purchases or at the majority of airports.
We accept Dominican pesos at our Dominican Republic airports and city ticket offices. You will be charged the fare quote you were given in U.S. dollars. Because the value of the peso fluctuates, the fare in pesos may be different than the fare you were quoted. Our fares do not change in U.S. dollars.
Digital wallet services
Digital wallet services are not available for reservations made over the phone, through chat, or using the JetBlue mobile app.
We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, MasterPass and ClarityPay online at jetblue.com for flight-only purchases. *
Apple Pay can be used as a payment method for booking a new reservation and managing an existing reservation in Manage Trips.
Book Now, Pay Later with ClarityPay
ClarityPay lets you book JetBlue flights with flexible pay-over-time plans. Eligible customers can review available payment options during checkout with no impact to their credit score.
To use ClarityPay, choose your flight and select ClarityPay under Additional Payment Options during checkout.
Visit our ClarityPay page to learn more about how it works, payment plan options, FAQs and terms.
JetBlue gift cards
While we no longer sell new JetBlue gift cards, we honor existing JetBlue gift cards. Gift cards can only be redeemed by calling 1-866-534-0219 to speak with a crewmember. Up to four JetBlue gift cards may be redeemed at one time.
JetBlue gift cards may not be redeemed for JetBlue Vacations packages, group bookings, interline bookings, or ShopBlue merchandise.
JetBlue gift cards do not have expiration dates, monthly maintenance fees, or dormancy fees. Please contact us for assistance with gift card balances.
Western Union
Western Union may be used as a form of payment for U.S. flights only.
Please contact us to pay with Western Union. The $25 nonrefundable per-person service fee is waived for customers who are using Western Union as payment.
After providing your booking details to a crewmember, your reservation will be placed on hold. You can then visit any participating Western Union agent location before the reservation’s cut-off time to provide the confirmation code, company name (JetBlue), the exact full amount to be paid, and we’ll confirm your reservation. Once complete, you’ll receive an itinerary via email and can then visit jetblue.com to select your seat(s).
Reservation cut-off times
Western Union bookings must be made at least two calendar days prior to scheduled departure and ticketed by midnight the next day, based on Mountain Time (MT), otherwise the booking will be automatically cancelled.
Multiple forms of payment
Please contact us if you need to pay for your reservation with two or more credit cards or multiple forms of payment. The $25 nonrefundable service fee to book over the phone or through chat is waived for customers who are using multiple credit cards as payment.
At the airport
The majority of our airport lobbies do not accept cash as payment. Airport purchases can be made with accepted credit/debit cards.
Convert cash to credit
Most of our U.S. airport lobbies feature ReadySTATION kiosks. If you wish to pay for flights, fees or services, you can convert cash to a prepaid debit card at a ReadySTATION kiosk for a fee of $5. The prepaid debit card can be used anywhere debit/credit cards are accepted, including for inflight purchases.
ReadySTATION kiosks are conveniently located near the JetBlue kiosks used for self-service.
We recommend keeping the prepaid card until travel is complete, even if the balance is $0.00. In the event of a travel interruption, any applicable refund can only be issued to the prepaid debit card (original form of payment).
U.S. airports without ReadySTATION kiosks
Some U.S. airports do not have a ReadySTATION kiosk available to convert cash to credit. Please plan to bring an accepted debit/credit card for any payment made at the airport.
