Want to stretch out with the extra legroom of an exit-row or over-wing seat? Or, enjoy a seat toward the front without all the perks of EvenMore? You can book a Main fare and select either an extra legroom seat or a preferred seat for a fee (free for Mosaic members). Just look for them on the seat map during seat selection.

Priority security is automatically included at no extra charge with our EvenMore® and Mint fares, as well as for Mosaic members. Priority security can be purchased for each traveler when booking or checking in by adding it in the "extras" section.
You can also pay for priority security with TrueBlue points any time before check-in in Manage Trips on jetblue.com, or in My Trips on the JetBlue app.
Other Extras Can be purchased a la carte for each traveler during booking or check-in—or anytime in between in Manage Trips.

Preferred & Extra Legroom Seats
- Preferred seats are preferred by those who may want to deplane faster or be closer to the front, without the extra legroom or premium perks of EvenMore. On flights with EvenMore, preferred seats will be in the rows just behind it.
- Extra legroom seats are for those who love some extra stretch, but without the premium perks of EvenMore. On most flights they’re located mid-plane &/or in exit rows.
- EvenMore seats are located in the first few rows (or the first few behind Mint, on a plane that has Mint). But, more than a seat or a location, EvenMore gives you premium perks like early boarding, extra legroom, dedicated bin space, free alcoholic drinks² and a premium snack offering², plus priority security at 30+ airports. EvenMore is available on all JetBlue planes.

Yes. All JetBlue planes have preferred seats and most (except for some A321s) have extra legroom seats. All JetBlue planes also offer EvenMore.
You can select preferred or extra legroom (pending availability) from the seat map when booking, managing your trip or checking in.
Yes. When booking a Main Basic fare, you can purchase a preferred or extra legroom seat by selecting it on the seat map.
Yes. Mosaic members can select preferred or extra legroom seats for free (for themselves and eligible travel companions on the same itinerary), just as they did with preferred seats previously.
Currently, all seat fees are refunded to the original form of payment should you need to change or cancel your flight. Charges are also refunded if JetBlue cancels your flight due to an operational disruption and cannot rebook you in the seat you purchased on your re-accommodated flight. However, all charges are forfeited if you paid for a preferred or extra legroom seat and later select a different seat, or if you do not show up for your flight without cancelling.
Priority Security
Priority security offers an expedited lane to the standard security checkpoint at 30+ U.S. and international airports. In addition, if you have priority security as a Mosaic member, or if you’re traveling on a Mint or EvenMore fare, all travelers on your itinerary can access priority security (where available).
There are a few ways to get priority security.
- Priority security is automatically included with your flight when you purchase a Mint or EvenMore fare.
- You can purchase priority security as a standalone from the Extras menu when you book a flight, manage your trip or check in. If you haven’t added priority security to your flight before you arrive at the airport—and priority security is offered at that airport—you can add it at the JetBlue check-in kiosk.
- You can enjoy priority security not just on a specific flight but all JetBlue-operated flights when you achieve Mosaic status, or by selecting priority security as one of the Perks You Pick as a TrueBlue member.
- You can also pay for priority security with TrueBlue points any time before check-in in Manage Trips on jetblue.com, or in My Trips on the JetBlue app.
Yes, even if you haven’t added priority security to your flight before you arrive at the airport, if priority security is offered at that airport you can still add it at the JetBlue check-in kiosk.
The answer is yes if you purchased a Mint or EvenMore fare, or you have priority security as a Mosaic member or a TrueBlue member who selected it as a perk. Eligible travelers booked under the same reservation and confirmation code can accompany you through priority security.
If you booked EvenMore or purchased priority security as a standalone, only you will be able to access the priority security lane.
Priority security is available in 30+ airports on both sides of the Atlantic. To see if it’s available at your departure airport, please visit our Airport Info pages.
Access varies by airport location. At some airports, priority security signage will be visible at the security checkpoint entrance, while other airports may allow access to the premium or business/first class lanes. A JetBlue crewmember at each airport will be happy to assist with questions on how to take advantage of priority security. As long as your boarding pass indicates that you have priority security, you should be good to go.
Priority security will be indicated on your boarding pass, simply show your mobile or printed boarding pass to the attendant at the appropriate security checkpoint entrance.
It depends on the airport and your situation.
TSA PreCheck offers expedited lanes and screening, but it’s not available at all airports. So, having priority security may give you an advantage at some airports, especially those outside the U.S.
In addition, if you’re a Mosaic member, or traveling on a Mint or EvenMore fare, all travelers on your itinerary can access priority security (where available), whereas each traveler must be enrolled in TSA PreCheck to access the TSA PreCheck lanes.
