If you're a "people-person," Airport Operations (AO) could be the job for you. AO crewmembers need to be friendly, positive and good natured, as more often than not they're the first point of contact for our customers. They're responsible for check in, handling the boarding process and assisting customers with special needs. AO crewmembers must be comfortable with computer technology and making public announcements – and it goes without saying they must be committed to providing excellent customer service in all situations.
Office job not your gig? Get outside and flex your muscles as a Ground Operations (GO) crewmember. The GO team prepares the aircraft for departure, loads baggage, stocks provisions, and are responsible for the safe guidance of aircraft movement on arrival and departure. They also perform other duties such as aircraft fueling and waste disposal equipment. They value safety for all, have positive attitudes and are happy to serve our customers.
Inflight (Flight Attendants)
Inflight crewmembers spend the most time with our customers and know the importance of delivering high-quality and award-winning service on every flight. Their primary concern is always the safety and comfort of our customers. Inflight crewmembers are great at multi-tasking, take pride in representing JetBlue, and are skilled at working through all types of challenging situations – and they understand that Inflight is a fast-paced environment with non-traditional working hours.
JetBlue flies a fleet of A320 and E190 aircraft and our pilots are among the most highly qualified in the industry. As well as impeccable experience and training, our pilots share our passion for customer service, and for bringing a fresh perspective to the airline industry. Interviews are granted on the basis of competitive evaluation and are only offered to candidates that have experience well above the published minimums.
Reservations crewmembers provide exceptional customer service to customers calling 1-800-JETBLUE. They are friendly, knowledgeable, articulate, problem-solvers, who can handle a wide range of situations and personalities. After initial training, Reservationists are allowed to work from home.
System Operations (Sys Ops) manages the daily operations of the airline, including the recovery plans during system disruptions. No matter role they play - from dispatcher to crew scheduling to maintenance control - Sys Ops crewmembers must be detail-oriented, great communicators, able to think on their feet, and work well as a team.
Technical Operations (Tech Ops) is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of JetBlue's fleet including regulation compliance, and routine and other maintenance. High energy, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are ideal for this area. Functional areas within Tech Ops can include everything from engineering to technical publications to materials.
