Whale of a time
Watch magnificent humpback whales as they pass right in front of Salt Cay through the 7,000-foot Columbus Passage. Considered the "Whale Headquarters", Salt Cay is also home to Captain Ollie who has the eyes of a hawk and can spot humpbacks if they are anywhere in the area. Take a breathtaking whale-watching excursion to watch the breeching and playing with their newborns, and hear the beautiful songs of the humpbacks while above and below the water with hydrophones.

2,000 rock stars
Found nowhere else in the world, the Rock Iguana (Cyclura carinata) is a shy and harmless reptile. These large lizards were once found on nearly all of the islands of the Turks & Caicos archipelago. Unfortunately, these endangered species are no longer found on islands where livestock and domesticated animals (especially cats and dogs) have been introduced. The docile creatures have now taken refuge mainly on small-uninhabited cays away from human settlement including Little Water Cay, where you can stroll down the board walk and easily view some of the 2,000 Rock Iguanas which now live there.
