Nature calls
One of the best-kept secrets in Punta Cana, the Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park is one of the only private forest reserves in the area. This unique, unexplored jewel houses twelve fresh-water lagoons which many believe to have medicinal properties. The lagoons are fed by an underground freshwater river which empties into the ocean right before your eyes. Throughout the reserve you can also find fossilized seashells and sponges, small green snakes, frogs, lizards, red land crabs, over 199 species of birds, and over 500 plant species—36% of which only exist in the Dominican Republic.

Fun in the sun
Considered one of the 10 finest beaches in the world, Punta Cana beach is renowned for its powder white sand, crystal clear blue waters, and elegant coconut palm trees. Punta Cana has the most consistent weather of any beach destination in the Caribbean—it hardly ever rains. There are tons of activities to enjoy like kayaks, windsurfing and other popular water sports. And if you just want to relax, you'll find plenty of "palapas" to lie under and read a good book or just doze off.
