Each year in July, the Spicemas Carnival takes place, and is worth visiting if you find yourself on the island for complete immersion in Grenadian culture. Grenada offers so much more than just beaches and carnivals, with plenty of museums and historical monuments for all types of world travelers to enjoy.

Grand Anse Beach
For such a small island, Grenada has a disproportionately large number of beaches - with 45 beautiful, clean beaches on which to relax. None, however, can really compare to Grand Anse Beach - a 2-mile long beach just a short distance from the capital of Saint George. Grand Anse beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island and offers kayaking, para sailing, and water skiing, among other activities. The water here is so clear that kayaks often look as if they are floating in the air just above the water.
