Flavor's in the house
Located in a carefully remodeled, century-old house, Bacchus Restaurante is one of the best in San José, Costa Rica. Flawlessly decorated with modern art, Bacchus' elegant ambiance is perfect to enjoy their Italian and French dishes. The exquisite menu includes fresh pastas, pizzas, and foccacias; main dishes like grilled sirloin covered with port sauce and porcini mushrooms, sesame-crusted tuna served with sautéed Portobello and veggies; and home made desserts like apple ravioli with vanilla ice cream and peach sauce.

Fused to perfection
A trendy spot for a memorable dinner, Bakea serves up a unique fusion of French, Costa Rican, Thai and Middle Eastern cuisine. A feast for the eyes and the palate, this charming restaurant resides in a 1934 mansion which was remodeled to transform its rooms into separate dining spaces, each with its own flair. Bakea's lunch, a la carte and seasonal menus feature pastas and risottos; juicy lamb chops served with candied cherry tomatoes in garden lavender honey; Bengal chicken (ginger and orange sauce over chicken served on a bed of taglierini) and decadent desserts such as Froud's temptation—a sinful cocoa trilogy for chocoholics. The restaurant also houses a small art gallery featuring the works of local artists.
