Up, Up, Up and AwayDon't spend a fortune on a tour bus, ride the Cable Cars, the best way to get around and get a good view of the city. Considered one of San Francisco's signatures, the Cable Cars were conceived by Andrew Hallidie in 1873 after witnessing a horse-drawn carriage accident on a steep hill.
