(Pre)check this out

Gone are the days of waiting in long security lines and removing clothing, you busy traveler you! We've teamed up with TSA to make your travel experience even more seamless with TSA Pre✓, a pre-screening initiative that makes risk assessments on customers prior to their arrival at the TSA checkpoint. The expedited security lane, now available at most domestic JetBlue locations, is for eligible customers traveling from or through a participating airport. TSA Pre✓ allows participating customers to leave their shoes, belt and light outerwear on and, in most cases, keep their laptop computers and 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels in their carry-on bag. The TSA pre-screening logo can be found on your boarding pass.

JetBlue is rolling out TSA Pre✓ city-by-city, and together with the TSA, we're continuing to make your airport experience better every day. Eligible customers departing from a participating JetBlue city must add their credentials to their JetBlue booking prior to travel.

As always, customers using a mobile boarding pass should see the list below for participating airports.

Three easy steps to participate in the initial phase of TSA Pre✓:

  1. 1.) Be eligible. Customers may sign up or already be enrolled for membership in a CBP Trusted Traveler program such as PreCheck, Global Entry, SENTRI or NEXUS and active Military personnel can also use their military ID as a Know Traveler Number (KTN). Learn more about eligibility or enrollment on the TSA Pre✓ website.

  3. 2.) Let us know. Customers need to let JetBlue know of their TSA Pre✓ enrollment before travel. For new reservations, the credentials can be added during the booking process by entering your PASS ID in the Known Traveler Number (KTN) field. For existing reservations, this can be done via "Manage Flights" on jetblue.com. You can also add your number during the online check-in process.

  5. 3.) Get going. TSA Pre✓ can be accessed with any boarding pass, and you can verify all requirements have been met by the Pre✓ logo located on your pass.(Please note that certain airports offer expedited screening but require customers remove their laptop and 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels from carry-on bags.)

Am I able to add my Known Traveler Number (KTN) during check-in?

Yes, but for mobile boarding passes and kiosk, you must register your Known Travel Number (KTN) before you check in using this service. Your credentials can be added to your booking before you travel on jetblue.com or anytime throughout the check-in process. If you have any trouble, please call 1-800-JETBLUE or ask a crewmember at the airport for assistance before checking in.

If I have entered my TSA Pre✓ credentials for one itinerary, will it automatically apply to all my future itineraries as well?

When you enter your Known Traveler Number into a JetBlue booking, it will apply to all flights in that itinerary. However, you must enter your credentials individually for all other reservations. In the future, we are working on making the process easier for you by storing your credentials as part of your TrueBlue profile.

If I am eligible for TSA Pre✓, will my travel companions be able to use the program as well?

Only customers 12 years old and younger who are accompanied by eligible TSA Pre✓ travelers will be granted access into TSA Pre✓. All other travel companions will not be eligible unless they, too, are part of the TSA Pre✓ program.
