My fun-packed days in Orlando

Shelley Pederson
Project Manager Interactive Marketing
There’s a ton that Orlando offers and it’s definitely a city worth visiting! My entire first day was spent at Universal Studio’s Islands of Adventure. While you're there, you should ride the Hulk, Dueling Dragons, and Spiderman 3D (my fave!) as many times as possible. I recommend going during the week when the lines are shorter. There are so many restaurants at Universal’s City Walk, it tailors to anyone’s taste buds--anywhere from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Pat O’s to Latin Quarter and Hard Rock Café. Check out Universal Studios, see where and how they make movies and tv shows, or experience what an earthquake or tornado is like. Also check out Shrek 4-D or volunteer to be on Fear Factor Live!

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center is a must-see for anyone with the slightest interest in space exploration! With only a couple hours to explore the Center, I didn’t even get to scratch the surface of all the tours or IMAX shows this place has to offer, but was ready to suit up and fly to the moon! I definitely suggest spending a whole day there and seeing it all, plus it’s located adjacent to a nature and wildlife preserve. We passed a pack of wild boars, saw a bald eagle, and an alligator just on our way to the Space Center.

Tons of hotel and restaurant options along International Drive provide a nice area centrally located a couple miles from Universal Studios. Disney World and Epcot Center are very popular too. May have to plan another trip down there soon.
