Complete information on benefits and pricing will be given upon hire. Here are highlights of the program:

Security for Today

Medical Insurance

  • If you are a full-time Crewmember, medical coverage is offered to you and your eligible dependents through a preferred provider organization (PPO).
  • Crewmembers have the option to choose from two major carriers and between a high or low plan.
  • You may use any doctor or facility you wish - there is no gatekeeper and no referral required to see a specialist. However, the plan will pay more if you use an in-network provider.
  • Part-time Crewmembers are offered a traditional indemnity medical plan.

Dental Insurance

  • JetBlue offers a dental plan to all Crewmembers.
  • Under the dental plan, you may see the dentist of your choice; however, the plan will pay more if you use an in-network provider.
  • The plan includes orthodontic services for children up to age 19.

Vision Insurance

  • JetBlue offers a voluntary vision plan to all Crewmembers.
  • The plan provides for an exam, lenses every 12 months and frames every 24 months.
  • Contact lenses are also covered.
  • You may see the vision provider of your choice; however, the plan will pay more if you use an in-network provider.
  • Discounts on Lasik Vision Correction are also offered through the vision plan.

Group Legal

  • JetBlue offers participants in this plan access to a nationwide network of experienced attorneys.
  • A variety of services are available at an affordable price including assistance with bankruptcy, living trusts and wills, estate planning and purchase, sale or refinancing of your home.

Flexible Spending

  • JetBlue offers two flexible spending accounts to defer health care and dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars.
  • You can contribute to one or both accounts. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you don’t need to be enrolled in the JetBlue plans to participate.

Voluntary Discount Programs

  • Crewmembers have the opportunity to participate in a variety of discount programs.
  • Participation is voluntary and you can participate at any time.
  • Services include:
    • Group Auto and Home Insurance - Crewmembers may select insurance at discounted rates for coverage of cars, homes, rentals, boats, mobile homes, and recreational vehicles.
    • Banking Services - Save smarter at great rates and with the security of FDIC insurance.
    • Pet Insurance - This program helps you to better manage the high cost of veterinary services. The plan helps pay for office visits, prescriptions, x-rays, lab fees, surgery, and hospitalization for covered medical problems.

Life Insurance

  • JetBlue pays for basic life and AD&D insurance for all qualified Crewmembers.
  • The amount of coverage depends on your job classification.
  • You can purchase additional supplemental coverage up to six times your annual salary up to a plan maximum.
  • Coverage is also available for your spouse and dependent children.
  • Whole Life Insurance coverage is available for all Crewmembers, spouses and dependent children.

Short-Term Disability Insurance

  • If you live in New York, New Jersey, California or Puerto Rico, you are eligible for coverage under the government-regulated disability plan for your area.
  • If you live in another location, you can purchase short-term disability coverage that pays a benefit equal to 60% of your weekly base pay up to a plan maximum.
  • Coverage is available for all qualified Crewmembers.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

  • Coverage is provided for all full-time Crewmembers
  • The plan pays 60% of your monthly base pay up to a plan maximum.

Wellness Programs

  • Smoking Cessation.
  • Nutrition Program.
  • More programs are available through our full-time medical plans.

Security for Tomorrow

401(k) Investment Plan

  • The plan lets you save any percentage of your pay in pre-tax dollars.
  • JetBlue will match the first 5% that you save dollar for dollar.
  • You choose how to invest your account among 27 funds.
  • Matching contributions to your account vest over five years.
  • The plan differs slightly in Puerto Rico.

Guaranteed Profit Sharing (not available to LiveTV®)

  • Five percent of your eligible earnings will be deposited into your retirement account annually.
  • This amount will vest after completing three years of service (from your hire date).
  • When Profit Sharing produces more than five percent, the difference is paid in cash.

Stock Purchase Plan (not available to LiveTV®)

  • Become part owner by buying JetBlue stock through the Crewmember Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Crewmembers can buy shares of company stock through payroll deduction every six months at 5% off the fair market value.

Roth 401(k)

  • Post-tax Roth contributions to the JetBlue Airways Retirement Plan.
  • Subject to income eligibility limits associated with Roth IRAs.
  • Pay taxes now not at retirement.

Self-Directed Accounts (SDA)

  • Self-directed brokerage service for the more experienced, confident investors.
  • Choose your own stocks in the JetBlue Airways Retirement plan.
  • Additional access to stocks, bonds, and mutual funds that are not offered in the JetBlue 401(k) plan.
