JetBlue Launches Only All-Jet Service To Burlington, VT

Fares For Twice-Daily New York City Service Are Up To 69% Less Than The Competition

New York, NY, 09/08/2000 -- “This is a true milestone for JetBlue,” said Dave Barger, President of JetBlue Airways. “A year ago, before JetBlue began flying, Burlington was the very first city that we confirmed service to from our New York base. Now, thanks to the extensive efforts and unwavering support of the Governor, the Mayor, the very powerful Congressional delegation, JJ Hamilton at the airport and the entire Burlington community, it becomes the ninth city on our expanding roster of destinations.”

JetBlue’s everyday low fares between Burlington and New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) start from $49 one-way for a 14-day advance purchase fare, which is 44% less than the current lowest equivalent fare. JetBlue’s highest fare, or walk-up fare, is only $99 one-way, which is 69% less than the lowest walk-up fare on other airlines.

JetBlue will serve Burlington with twice daily all-jet service aboard brand new, environmentally-friendly Airbus A320 aircraft. Passengers on this new service can connect through JFK for JetBlue’s flights to Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Los Angeles/Ontario, and the San Francisco/Oakland. Connections through JFK to JetBlue’s soon-to-launch services to Salt Lake City, UT, and West Palm Beach, Fl will be available from November 18.
